About CodeCleaner
CodeCleaner is a native macOS application for software developers who need to reclaim disk space without guessing which folders are safe to delete. It focuses on caches, build artifacts, and regenerable data created by Xcode, Docker, Node.js, Rust, Python, Gradle, Go, Ruby, Flutter, Homebrew, and popular IDEs.
What we optimize for
- Accuracy — scans only paths that belong to known developer tools, with whitelist-based deletion so source trees are not targets.
- Transparency — you see sizes and paths before anything is removed; nothing runs in the background without your review.
- Privacy — scans and cleanup run entirely on your Mac. We do not upload file lists, paths, or telemetry from the app.
Who builds it
CodeCleaner is developed by a small independent team focused on developer tooling for Apple platforms. We ship through the Mac App Store and an optional direct download for users who prefer it.
